- Dedot needs a subscription: $29.99 a year after a 7-day free trial, or $4.99 a month.
- Apple bills you and handles refunds. Cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.
- Your tasks belong to you.
- Don’t rely on the app alone for critical reminders.
This summary is here to help you read the terms. The full terms below are what apply.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Dedot, you agree to them and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which is part of these terms. If the two conflict, Apple’s agreement applies.
2. Your licence
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s usage rules. The app and its design remain ours.
3. Free trial and subscription
The app is free to download. It starts with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. After the trial you need a subscription to keep using it. The subscription includes the features listed in the app, such as Plan my day, your calendar on Today, routines and custom repeats, unlimited lists, your own Home layout and the morning summary. We may add, change or remove features over time, but the subscription will keep providing ongoing value for as long as you pay for it. If you don’t subscribe, you can still export your tasks.
4. Subscriptions, trials and billing
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- The yearly plan includes one 7-day free trial per Apple Account. When the trial ends, you’re charged for a year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Apple charges your Apple Account. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep full access until the period you paid for ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. We can’t issue refunds ourselves.
- If the price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law requires, asks you to agree first.
5. Your content
Your tasks and lists belong to you. They are stored on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud account. Keep your own backups; we can’t recover content you delete.
6. Reminders
We work hard to deliver reminders on time, but they depend on your device, iOS settings, Focus modes and battery. Don’t rely on the app alone for medical, safety or other critical reminders.
7. Fair use
Don’t copy, resell, reverse-engineer or misuse the app, or use it to break the law.
8. Third-party content
The app uses third-party emoji art and fonts under their own licences. They are listed in Settings > Help > Acknowledgements.
9. Changes and availability
We may update the app, change features or, with reasonable notice, stop offering it. If we stop offering subscriptions, we’ll tell subscribers in the app.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived where you live.
11. About Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app, its support or any claims about it; we are. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo and not on a US government list of prohibited parties.
12. Ending
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; cancel your subscription separately in your App Store account settings. We may suspend access if you seriously break these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above and tell you in the app about important changes before they apply.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of . If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory laws and can bring claims in your local courts.
